My client is a local government council located in the south-western fringe of Sydney.
About the Role
In this role, you will be an integral member of the Compliance Team with the ability to multi-skill in all required aspects of Local Government regulatory functions.
You will need to develop and maintain a personal image and corporate perspective which embodies quality service and responsibilities to Council’s customers to achieve efficiency, economy and ethical purpose.
Essential Requirements and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning and/or a minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience as a Council Compliance Officer
- A sound working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979, Local Government Act and associated legislation.
- Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to prepare complex correspondence, notices and reports.
- Highly developed investigation and interviewing skills and extensive experience undertaking complex compliance investigations.
