With sustainability principles at the core of its design, it will set the standard for a new era.

To support this project, Worley's team is growing and we are excited to welcome a Document Controller to join our Brisbane office.
Working together with an experienced team of Document Controllers, you will be responsible for managing this project and overseeing work from our GID (Global Integrated Delivery) team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities, as required.
  • Ability to set up and start a new project; complying with Worley Standards and the Clients’ requirements.
  • Registration and transmission of deliverables according to document distribution matrices; internally and externally.
  • Quality checking document title blocks, templates etc. prior to issuance of documentation; to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Creation and implementation of project procedures and work instructions for Document Control team in home office and support office
  • Ability to train, manage and mentor team members based in home office and GID offices
  • Ensuring that project EDMS is maintained with accuracy and complete audit trail of all documentation
  • Attend Customer/Supplier/Project meetings, as required
  • Extensive understanding of Supplier Data Management – Ability to set up Supplier Purchase Order (PO), assign document numbers and initiate submissions, manage Supplier Document reviews, liaise directly with the Vendor/Supplier/Contractor for any troubleshooting concerns, and successfully close out a PO
  • Sound knowledge of the redline mark-up process which includes As-building (Blacklining)
  • Creating, maintaining and distributing both Design and Supplier reports to assist the project teams in progress reporting and expediting activities
  • Sound understanding of project close out activities - ensuring that all deliverables are finalised and handed over; and ensuring that final closeout signoff is completed
  • Undertake/perform ad-hoc Document Control tasks as required by the Principal Document Controller or Department Manager
  • Assist in training Project teams and Third parties to ensure efficient use of project EDMS

About You:

  • Sound knowledge of document management systems, processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with Aconex
  • Minimum 2 years’ previous document control experience
  • Background and understanding of drawing office / document control procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
