The Environmental Health Officer (Scientific Officer) is responsible for the provision of specialist scientific and technical advice on simple and complex environmental health issues including those of a novel or critical nature. The incumbent will undertake review, assessment, regulatory activity, investigation and reporting on current and emerging public and environmental health matters including contributing to Health Impact Assessments.
This position will primarily support the delivery of the federally funded Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) Mitigation through Mosquito Surveillance and Control program in South Australia but will also contribute to routine work in the Health Protection Programs team.
