We are looking for multiple Gas Apprentices to join our team. In this exciting position, you will obtain industry skills and knowledge while under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals. Apprentices are required to attend TAFE and complete a Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations. Submitting ongoing workplace evidence addressing the competencies within the Gas Supply Industry Operations qualification is a requirement for the Certificate III qualification. This opportunity is a fantastic alternative to completing a Plumbing Apprenticeship and will equip you with the skills to have a long term career within the Gas Industry.
During the program, our Gas Apprentice will participate in workplace and worksite rotations across Gas Construction Gas Distribution and Gas Transmission. You will have the opportunity to experience a variety of work environments within the gas industry and gain enhanced employment skills and career development opportunities.
- Strategic response to gas leak reports and other emergencies;
- Repair and maintenance of high, medium and low pressure natural gas networks
- Liaison with gas customers and public authorities;
- Undertaking high priority incident response, completing scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance activities on pressure control equipment, customer meter sets and gas mains and services
- Exposure to various operational elements of the Zinfra business
At the end of the program, a successful Apprentice will have completed all competencies for a Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations.
About You:
To be considered for an Apprenticeship you must have a drivers licence or plan to have obtained your licence by February 2023.
