The role
Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader, you will be responsible for attending, inspecting and reporting on damage to domestic buildings for customers of Auto & General.
- Attending clients’ properties and accurately reporting on building damage to domestic insured properties
- Providing accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events
- Determining and advising on the overall best method of repair of the building
- Liaising with builders and external contractors
What experience you’ll bring
- Previous experience working in the building, construction or home insurance sector essential.
- High standard of communication skills both written and verbal
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and without direct supervision
- Trade qualified in building / construction highly regarded, however, not essential
- Experience in managing, coaching and appraising builders
