We’re seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our Maintenance Team at St Stephen's Hospital in a permanent part-time position!
Remuneration Value: $33.81 - $34.66 p/h + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Free Staff Parking

The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:
  • Maintain gardens and grounds to high standard
  • Comply with Workplace Health and Safety, Universal Health Precautions, Procedures and Standards
  • Maintain and store equipment according to manufacture of hospital procedures
  • Participate in quality programs and audits
  • Report any faulty or hazardous equipment immediately
  • Participate in an out of hours call out roster to ensure 24/7 coverage for the hospital

Due to the unpredictable nature of the work requirements you’ll be prepared to work flexible hours with an ability to manage your own time to meet deadlines.
About you:
As a great communicator, you’ll have an ability to build effective working relationships with our staff and managers and be respectful of our patients and visitors to the hospital. You’ll have a flexible approach to your work and be able to adapt accordingly with any potential daily challenges.
You’ll present with:
  • Knowlegde of carpentry and plumbing maintenance
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out general maintenance, gardening and cleaning.
  • Ability to follow instructions/directions and then act with minimal support to facilitate smooth operation of maintenance service on site.
  • Ability to problem solve and proactively assist in the management of hospitals resources (plant & equipment).
