Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and engaging Manager, Building Certification and Compliance to lead and manage the team through effective enforcement services that promote and protect community safety and health.
The Manager, Building Certification and Compliance will be responsible for ensuring that Council complies with its statutory obligations in the areas of building certification, compliance, fire safety, pool safety and hoardings to ensure the safety of residents and visitors to the Waverley LGA.
To be successful in the role, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and extensive experience in a relevant area. You’ll be an experienced leader of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to develop and motivate staff. You’ll demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a working knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, 1979 that is second to none.
