We currently have permanent irregular part-time opportunities across Victoria for a Mobile Road Safety Camera Operator to join our TCS team to make a positive difference in the Victorian community. The role involves supporting Victoria’s mobile safety camera program by setting up and monitoring speed detection equipment. Roles available in Melbourne Metro area as well as Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Benalla, Bendigo, Geelong, Hamilton, Horsham, Mansfield, Mildura, Morwell, Sale, Seymour, Shepparton, Stawell, Swan Hill, Wangaratta, Warragul, Warrnambool and Wodonga.About you:
Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster including early mornings, nights and public holidays. Monthly rosters distributed 4 weeks in advance
Excellent organisational and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proven ability to strictly follow company policies and procedures
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interact with members of the public to resolve tense situations
Ability to work autonomously
Flexibility to pick up extra shifts at short notice
Confidently perform well under pressure
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong customer service focus

In return, we offer paid training with dedicated trainers as well as ongoing support and mentoring from engaged and passionate leaders.
A current Victorian Driver's Licence, satisfactory VicRoads Driver History Report, medical and police clearances are essential requirements of this role - applicants will need to successfully complete these as well as 12 business days of full-time, paid training in Tullamarine prior to commencement. This will be followed by on the job training with a senior operator, out of your allocated region.

About the Role: Key responsibilities of this role include:
Assess and review suitable locations to set up camera cars according to the roster, ensuring they are free of interference to support the prosecution of images
Set up in-vehicle operating systems, assess sites and monitor systems to deliver compliant camera sessions in accordance with current Victoria Police and Government guidelines
Monitor location and session to ensure no interference with operations and designated speed zones
Assess and review the location at conclusion of each session for compliance and designated speed zones
Complete relevant administrative tasks in accordance with Victoria Police and Government guidelines

Serco's Traffic Camera Services (TCS) division operates Victoria's mobile safety camera program, maintains fixed red light cameras and provides image verification services to the State of Victoria.
