Role
New and exciting role for a Program Manager who will work closely in collaboration across the business with Sponsors, Stakeholders, Workstream Leads, internal Business Partners, plus play a prominent role in fulfilling the Kaplan Business School and Pathways vision, as well as driving delivery to meet business goals and objectives.
We are looking for someone with a diverse skillset that can take the reins of the holistic KBS and Pathways Program of Work, providing transparency as to its health and ensuring it is aligned with key business goals and objectives. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Successful delivery of the demanding KBS/Pathways Program of Work, which is made up of dependent as well as independent projects/initiatives of various size and scope
- Lead and coordinate the work of Project Managers and Business Analysts
- Work with Executive and Senior Leadership team to identify future opportunities, improving our delivery capabilities plus ensuring Business outcomes are realised
Responsibilities:
- Lead development, prioritisation, planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting for the KBS/PWs Program of Work
- Active management of the KBS/PWs initiative demand funnel
- Definition of program governance arrangements including cadence of status reporting, Steering Committee artefacts, and other ad hoc reporting requests
- Develop, communicate, and maintain the program’s Risks, Assumptions, Actions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions, Lessons Learned and Benefits Registers logs
- Develop and maintain the overarching Program Roadmap
- Liaison with internal marketing, technical and operational leads/management around status of testing and go live readiness to ensure communication with internal plus external stakeholders are accurate and timely for any KBS/PWs technical delivery
- Preparing high quality status reports and project presentations suitable for executive level audiences
- Expenditure planning, budget maintenance including reallocation of cost, tracking and monitoring and budget reports
- Establish regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of tangible Project and Program Management experience at a Senior level (essential)
- Certifications/relevant industry and project/program management qualifications such as PMP®, PgMP®, CPM®, PMP®, CSM®, SAFe® (essential)
- Demonstrated experience working with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid and tailored delivery approaches
- Proven ability to lead customer-focused business and technical projects to ensure objectives, goals, and critical business commitments are met
- Significant experience working in cross-functional delivery models
- Successful track record working in organisations of varying maturity levels across technology and business-related projects
- Demonstrable experience building strong and respectful relationships with teams and key stakeholders
- Capacity to manage high stress situations, and be flexible in approach
- Strong relationship management skills which can be applied to multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent deliveries, juggle multiple tasks and prioritise workload
- Displays self-awareness, emotional intelligence, willingness to continuously improve oneself and carries robust soft skills
- Highly collaborative and outcomes focused with solid influencing skills
- Business, Business Administration, or other tertiary qualifications (desirable)
- Project or Program Management experience working in educational sectors/industries (desirable)
