Hobart Private Hospital is seeking experienced Part-time/Full time Registered Midwives Level 2 with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our Maternity team.
Hobart Private Hospital is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds co-located with the Royal Hobart Hospital in the heart of the city. Hobart Private Hospital provides Emergency Services, Angiography and Cardiac Services, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery and Endoscopy
As a Registered Midwife your responsibilities will include:
- Provide evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and support nursing team members to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their antenatal, perinatal and postnatal care
- Maintain a quality portfolio
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years Post Graduate Experience
- Working with Children check
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Proven and sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered midwife experience against the current Healthscope TAS Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2016 – 2020, a salary ranging from $47.02 - $50.30 per hour.
